2010 Beyond Bridges: Israel-Palestine (BB:IP) (June 29 - July 22)

On Thursday, July 22, our newest CTE program, Beyond Bridges: Israel-Palestine (BB:IP), came to a close. Based in Jerusalem, our students and staff traveled for nearly a month all over Israel-Palestine, meeting with scholars and grassroots organizers alike. From Yad Vashem to Mahmoud Darwish’s grave, from meetings with Jewish Israeli settlers to Muslim Palestinian refugees, from movies on "The Forgotten Refugees" (Arab and Middle Eastern Jewish refugees who re-located to Israel) to discussions with former soldiers and militants now affiliated with Combatants for Peace, this is the only program of its kind that integrates the dominant narratives of both Jewish Israelis and Palestinians.
